CO2 savings of the
Torque Marine Systems

compared to conventional systems

Concept

This innovation makes it possible to keep the speed in the optimum power range at all times and only provide the engine power that is actually required. By coupling several torque drives in one shaft line, redundancy can be achieved even on an inland waterway vessel or tugboat with only one propeller, thereby increasing reliability.

In addition, this drive technology reduces propeller slip (cavitation), which is characteristic of conventional ship drives, by almost 100 % even when reversing, thus improving maneuverability.

The operating and maintenance costs are significantly reduced.
Energy consumption and pollutant emissions are significantly reduced.
The maneuverability of the ship is improved.
The risk of drive failure is reduced.
Areas of application:
Inland vessels
Tugboats
Yachts
Offshore special ships
Government vessels
Coasters (river-going seagoing vessels)
